Who is Brittany Chrishawn?
Brittany Chrishawn Moore, known as Brittany Chrishawn, is an award-winning filmmaker, music artist, and activist. After surviving a violent police encounter that made national headlines, she turned her pain into purpose—creating a powerful documentary and founding the Unbroken Smile movement.

Brittany Chrishawn Moore is also a founder of Moore Flicks and Moore Records.

Creating Impact Through Film
In 2019, a year before Brittany Chrishawn’s violent encounter with Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office police, she produced a fiction film about police brutality called Illville. Illville quickly gained recognition for ironically predating Brittany’s real-life trauma. Written by her husband, Ausar Moore, the film is now streaming on Apple TV, Tubi and Amazon Prime Video.
As mentioned by Black Enterprise, Brittany Chrishawn’s documentary Unbroken Smile reflects her dedication to using film as a tool for social impact. It is not only a reflection of her personal fight for justice but also a voice for others who have been silenced. Through these projects, Brittany amplifies stories that resonate with broader themes of injustice and resilience.
Music

In addition to her work as a filmmaker and activist, Brittany has been creating music for over a decade. Music has been a key outlet for her to express emotions, tell stories, and connect with audiences. Her music, much like her films, seeks to uplift, inspire, and foster conversations around themes of resilience, love, justice, and the power of community.
